(July 29, 2006) Angela Haynes of the Delaware Smash certainly knows how to make a first impression. Haynes was one of the breakout stars of the 2006 WTT Pro League season, finishing her rookie WTT season ranked third in both women's doubles (63-46, .578 winning percentage) and women's singles (55-39, .585 winning percentage). Her performance earned the 21 year-old American the WTT Female MVP honors. Daniel Nestor's performance this season for the Philadelphia Freedoms not early helped Philly qualify for the playoffs, but it also earned Nestor 2006 WTT Male MVP honors. Nestor finished the season ranked first in mixed doubles (47-27, .635 winning percentage) and third in men's doubles (50-38, .568 winning percentage). This is Nestor's second WTT season. Bryan wins WTT Coach of the Year for third consecutive year For the third consecutive year, Coach Wayne Bryan of the Sacramento Capitals has been named as the WTT Coach of the Year. Coach Bryan led his Capitals to the Western Conference title and a 10-4 regular season record, a mark only equaled by the New York Sportimes.
